Oysters: Consuming Food rich in Omega-3 Fatty Acids
For centuries oysters have been regarded as a favorite exotic dish. They can be eaten raw or cooked. Those who consider oysters as a powerful aphrodisiac are not far from the truth... there is a lot of zinc in oysters (a mineral that stimulates the production of testosterone). Zinc, in combination with other minerals and amino acids, makes oysters one of the healthiest seafood.  Oysters are valued not only for their taste, but also for their unprecedented useful properties.

What are the benefits of oysters?

Oysters belong to the molluscs family, which are low in saturated fat and rich in minerals, vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids. These acids bring considerable benefits to human health, and unlike  alpha-linolenic acids (contained in vegetable products) do not increase the risk of prostate cancer. In addition, fatty acids are beneficial for the heart muscle and reduce the risk of heart disease. Omega 3 fatty acids are necessary for proper brain function, they can even be used for the therapy or prevention of mental disorders. They strengthen the immune system and are vital for nervous system and cell function. Omega-3 fats possess anti-inflammatory properties and are excellent antioxidants, which contribute to the removal of harmful substances and free radicals from the body.  Scientific studies have shown that omega-3 fat can prevent and improve the condition of the eczema, allergies, asthma, Alzheimer's disease, depression and nervous diseases such as, diabetes, hyperactivity of children, psoriasis, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, cardiovascular problems, as well as more serious diseases, for example, prostate cancer or breast cancer. Since your body is not capable of producing Omega 3, it is crucial to consume foods rich in these fatty acids.

Oyster meat is a unique biological blend of useful substances containing proteins, fats and carbohydrates.
Oysters also include vitamins A, B, C, D and a large amount of mineral salts, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, zinc, iron, iodine, copper, sodium, potassium, chlorine, chromium, fluorine, molybdenum and Nickel.

Antioxidant substances (vitamins A and E) contained in oysters contribute to the rejuvenation of the body and the prevention of free radicals, which has a detrimental effect on the cells of the neutralized vitamin compounds. The presence of Iron and  other minerals allows you to significantly improve the process of hematopoiesis, especially for people suffering from anemia.

Eating oysters helps maintain collagen levels in the skin which enables the skin to retain its elasticity and firmness while slowing the aging process.

The protein component of oysters is composed of essential amino acids, such as tyrosine which is responsible for producing proteins and aids in regulating stress and mood levels.

What is fermentation
Scientists now call fermented products the "food of the future". But these products have been known for a long time (Eastern kimchi, spicy dishes with sauerkraut, yogurt, kefir, Russian beet kvass). Such dishes protect against disease as they contain nutrients, antibacterial and antiviral substances.  Fermented products normalize digestion: lactobacteria excrete nutrients, including vitamins B and K.

What is Fermentation?

The fermentation process also neutralizes phytic and oxalic acid.  In the process of fermentation carbohydrates are converted into organic acid or alcohol and carbon dioxide. Scientific studies have confirmed that the consumption of foods rich in digestive enzymes is good for the health.

Fermented food products contain the ideal amount of vitamin A and omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids. Living lactobacteria helps to protect the body from viruses, harmful micro-organisms, pathogenic bacteria, yeast and parasites.   Fermented food is an excellent source of useful bacteria, such as probiotics and enzymes. Fermented foods are also rich in vitamins, in some cases, the content of them is even higher than in the fresh vegetables. For example, the content of vitamin C in acidic cabbage exceeds the content in fresh cabbage.  Lacto-fermentation neutralizes the effect of compounds that inhibit the absorption of minerals.

Strengthening your immune system with garlic
Did you know that In France, in 1722, during a epidemic of bubonic plague, four looters quietly robbed houses of dead people. When the thieves got caught,  the first thing they were asked was how they managed to avoid infection? It turns out that the robbers soaked garlic cloves in wine and rubbed this tincture all over their bodies and took it orally as well. Residents began using the same method and suspended the epidemic of plague in their own land.
Garlic in all its forms strengthens immunity, facilitates the work of the stomach, the heart, thyroid, "cleans" the vessels, prevents the formation of tumors and rejuvenates the body.

The plant also contains amino acids: glycine, cystine, alanine, tryptophan and glutamic acid which are important components of proteins, enzymes, hormones and many other biologically active substances.

These substances participate in various biological processes of the brain, protein and carbohydrate metabolism, improve the power supply of nerve cells and are widely used in the mental and cardio-vascular diseases. A lipid fraction effect on the cardiovascular system normalizes the level of arterial blood pressure, stimulates sexual function and renders a rejuvenating effect.  Peptides regulate various biochemical processes including; protecting the body from foreign elements, positively influences learning and recollection, regulates sleep and has a positive influence on the treatment of schizophrenia.

Ashwagandha can increase mental and physical performance after severe diseases, injuries and surgical interventions, slows down the aging process, improves  atherosclerosis, helps prevent ischemic heart disease, improves peripheral blood circulation and age related changes in muscles, bones and joints.

It also accelerates the healing of wounds, the accretion of the bones and connective tissue, improves efficiency, reduces the manifestations of  stress, reduces the effects of damage to the muscles, bones and joints caused by physical overload, and can even activate the growth and development of muscles.

Ashwagandha activates the protective forces of the body and the immune system increasing the body's resistance to colds and infectious diseases, increases blood pressure, alieviates stress related diseases such as neurosis, neurasthenia, peptic ulcer disease, cardiovascular disease, diseases of liver and kidneys, normalizes sleep (can increase the need for sleep); improves sexual function; reduces the level of LDL cholesterol in the blood and has an anti-ulcer effect.

Of particular importance, ashwagandha is used as a treatment for impotence in men as the plant is a wonderful tonic for the reproductive systems of men. That's why Ashwagandha is used in the treatment of genital herpes and prostatitis.
